I have a brown vaginal discharge that is amplified with intercourse. There is an odor but no pain, itching, or burning. What could be causing this?

Infection: This could be caused by a cervical or vaginal infection. The most common vaginal infection is bacterial vaginosis and the main symptom is an odor. In this case the peroxidase positive lactobacillus which are the most common bacteria in the vagina get killed off, the pH rises and anaerobic bacteria over grow.
