Yes: This is as safe as eating fish while on these- probably safer, as a good fish oil has been purified of mercury, pcb's etc. Research studies show that adding fish oil to anti-depressants like zoloft (sertraline) often result in additional benefits (though some studies disagree). Check With Your MD: One should always check with their physician if they have specific questions regarding their medical care. In general, both Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen are safe to take with valproic acid. Taking more than 4000mg of Acetaminophen is not recommended due to liver toxicity.
