Does acupuncture really helps in inducing labor during pregnancy? Is it safe for the mother and the baby?
Heat lamp on my stomach 5-6 weeks pregnant during acupuncture. Acupuncturist said it was low and ok but i'm worried it hurt baby? I didn't feel too hot.
No need to worry: There appears to be increased risk of a birth defect called neural tube defect by having your entire body heated up in early pregnancy, so it's advised to not sit in a hot tub over about 102 degrees for more than 10 minutes in early pregnancy, but that is because a hot tub can increase your core body temperature.
