Probably not herpes: Recrurrent genital herpes doesn't cause enlarged lymph nodes. This happens from herpes only once, during the intitial infection, and in that case there would be painful blisters or sores. And herpes doesn't cause lower back pain. Coincidental: Does not sound like these symptoms are anything that would be related to your period. You could have a urinary tract infection, but that too would be independent of you being on your period.
