What could cause a ruptured blood vessel under an eye? Will it go away? Had headache on same side a day before. I am on baby aspirin. Stop taking it?
See your doctor: Your symptoms warrant an evaluation. Don't stop taking the Aspirin without being directed to do so by your personal physician. Good luck.
Common in DM: Neovascularization in dm which causes proliferation of new blood vessles - defective structurally and fracture easily. Also other conditions like shearing force from blunt trauma, athletic events related injuryhead injury, htn, vasculitic conditions like rhumatoid arthritis from inflammation of vessels, head rocking in children, structural abn. Aneurysms of vessesls, anticoagulants-asa, Coumadin (warfarin) it occ.
Eye hemorrhage: If your are describing a redness confined to a segment of the white of one eye this may be a subconjunctival hemorrhage. These can be caused by trauma, coughing, straining, weight lifting but are most often occur with no noticeable cause. High BP and anticoagulant meds can potentiate these. These are often benign and require no treatment. Slight tenderness is common but pain/visual loss are not.See 1 more doctor answer
When I bend my head forward I get dizzy or side to side MRI was fine, could it be blood vessels? I start p.t. for vesbular therapy on neck tomorrow.
Could be.: Not as likely in your age. Vertebral artery narrowing can cause dizziness. These vessels can be damaged in neck trauma. If you have had no recent accidents then they are probably ok. These vessels can become narrow when people are 50 or older. If therapy does not work, ask your doctor to check the blood vessels in your head and neck.
Broken blood vessel?: Patients with dry eyes and allergies can rub their eyes and experience recurrent broken blood vessels from the physical trauma of rubbing the eyes. In some patients it can be due to elevated inr (too much coumadin) or excessive use of Aspirin or ibuprofen. Treating the dry eye or allergies can reduce this. If you have easy bruising or bleeding, check with your primary care doctor.See 1 more doctor answer

Depends: When you say inside of your eye, this is hard to assess as there are many structures in the eye that can have bleeding in such as sclera, anterior chamber, vitreous, retina etc. If you know which one you have bleeding in, you need to let us know for us to be able to help.
