I had a bartholin cyst aspirated 2 weeks ago. It hurts a bit when I get turned on. Any idea what is happening?
Healing: As you become sexually aroused, the blood vessels in the vulva and vagina dilate. This can put some added pressure on any injured or healing area. The resulting discomfort in an area of recent cyst aspiration is not at all surprising. It will gradually disappear over the next couple of weeks, perhaps a little longer. If it persists more than 6 weeks, discuss with your doctor. Good wishes:) Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

They're often treated with drainage and antibiotics, both of which can get you feeling back to normal soon. Read more
Bartholins cyst: Bartholins cysts take up to two weeks to heal. It will get better faster once it opens and drains and this often requires a doctor to make an incision. If you want to avoid that I would sit in warm water 2-3 times a day for 20 min and use warm compresses. I'm sorry, they can be quite painful. Read more
Does Bartholin cyst just go away in time?? Does abscesses go away in time?? Can I put it cold compress??
Warm compresses: Warm compresses are better than cold to help the cyst drain. Bartholin's gland cysts sometimes go away on their own but sometimes they have to be surgically drained and packed in order to heal up. Any abscess that does not drain fully may need to be surgically opened and drained to resolve. If it is not resolving with warm soaks and compresses see a doctor. Read more
