Costochondritis: Sharp pain in the sternal area (breastbone) during activity or after activity is almost always costochondritis (inflammation around bone-cartilage interface) and it is often difficult to treat going away by itself after several days to weeks. At 22 years old, the risk of this being coronary heart disease is very very low. Most would recommend a doctor visit to fully check out the heart. ...Read more

Probabely normal: You have been evaluated by your doctor or doctors.The sternal pain is only in fierst 10 minutes of slow running.And then it goes away,and no pain after 60 minutes.It does not sound like due to heart problem at your age. You have no shortness of breath .If your doctor said not from heart I agree No treatment is needed ...Read more

Chest pain: At your age group , I doubt that your chest pain is related to your heart . I sm also worried that you are labeling your self as having Angina . Most likely your chest pain is due to muscle sourness or inflammation . This can be treated with Anti inflam drugs . Other causes of chest pain may be inflammation of the esophagus which comes from taking Asprin or Aleve (naproxen) . Get an Evaluation by your PCP . ...Read more
