What do you suggest if my child had a high fever for 3 days then after fever left she got a rash all over what could it be?

Roseola: This sounds like a classic description of roseola. It is a viral childhood disease that usually peaks in incidence in the summer months, but can happen any time of year. Pretty much it's as you describe. A few days of fever, then fever breaks and rash appears. Rash resolves within a week. Once rash appears, child no longer contagious. Usually kids get it before age 3. ...Read more

My daughter has a rash all over the top of her body which looks like an allergic reaction but dr said it's roseola but she didn't have high fevers

Possible: Sometimes roseola rash can look like macular patches and spots and can be mistaken for allergies. High fever is common but not always seen. If it disappears in 2-3 days with no anti-histaminic medications, it is likely to be roseola. https://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=chr-greentree_ie&ei=utf-8&ilc=12&type=523482&p=roseola Above is a link of such a rash. ...Read more

Hard to know: This is a difficult scenario to evaluate without more information. Since it's not bothering him, hives are not likely. Also does not seem consistent with drug reaction. Viral rash is very typical for this time of year, and these generally affect large area. Usually occur as viral illness is resolving. Another thought: rash occurs if child with epstein-barr viral illness is treated with amoxicili ...Read more

Virus or strep: Sounds like a viral or streptococcal infection. The latter is potentially more serious as untreated it may lead to heart, kidney, or nervous system disease. A rapid strep test and, if necessary, a throat culture can make this diagnosis and determine if antibiotics are necessary. You should have your toddler seen by the pediatrician. ...Read more
