Bronchitis is considered chronic if you cough and produce excess mucus for most days three months out of the year, two years in a row. Emphysema is a disease that damages the air sacs or the smallest breathing tubes in the lungs. COPD is commonly associated with smoking. ...Read more

Can it help to run a vaporizer w/ vaporizer med when you sleep if you have copd?

Maybe: Depends on what you are trying to achieve. If nighttime awakening related to COPD is a problem, a bedtime nebulization could be helpful. Otherwise, a scheduled nebulization at night does not normally add any benefit. ...Read more

I have CAD asthma and diabetes and i've noticed that i keep running out of breath doing house work like making bed doing laundry etc. Could be copd?

Both: Sob may be due to both heart and lung problems. You can feel sob instead of chest pain in cad. The best way to make a diagnosis is to get the heart checked first using exercise test and echo. If negative you can have pulmonary function studies. ...Read more

My child has a bad cough, so would he be better if he sleeps with a vaporizer running?

My child has a bad cough, so would he be better if he sleeps with a vaporizer running?

Possibly: The first thing to do is to find the cause. If he coughs in his sleep without waking, it might be an exaggerated reflex caused by bad diet. If you look at other answers that I have offered you will see that the children of U.S.A. Are being made sick in many ways because their nervous systems are being made hyperactive by the standard american diet (spells sad!). ...Read more

My baby had chest congestion but no runny nose. I've been using a vaporizer. Now her nose has started running. Doesthis mean she's getting better or worse?

Depends: Both are symptoms of a common cold and can appear at different times, but do not mean it is getting worse. Could you tell me about my morphine 'med..Avinza I have taken it for approx. 6 yrs. 120mg. Also have copd.

Avinza (morphine): This is just morphine. You have been on it a long time and at 120mg a day (i assume- as its a once a day med) you are on the upper end of what is deemed acceptable. You also have COPD - there is a risk of central sleep apnea and you should have had a sleep sat analysis done and depending on the result a sleep study. I really wonder how effective it still is? ...Read more
