Chances are: greatest that you have had Rubella although the 'Grey Zone" my represent distant infection/Vaccination. DID YOU HAVE A MMR VACCINE whewn you were a Baby. Ask your doctor: Rubella (German measles) IGM positivity means that you had contracted rubella recently. For this to happen, I believe that you did not have appropriate MMR immunizations, when you are a child? Or did you recently receive the 1st dose of MMR vaccine? if you did, it may explain it. Rubella IgG: means previous exposure, IgM > 1.1 denotes recent infection, which isn't your case, and your IgG titers are good.
