I have small, skin covered, painless, nodules on several of the first joint (closest to the fingetnail) of my fingers. What concerns should I have?
Heberden's nodes.: Bony bumps on the finger joint closest to the fingernail are called heberden's nodes. Bony bumps on the middle joint of the finger are known as bouchard's nodes. Bony bumps are also common at the base of the thumb.
On left side of lower neck, a small nodule under skin (lymph node?), it is soft, same size. Not protruding. No pain. Any way of knowing what it is?
Sounds like: Lymph node, but it could be something else. IF it is truly a lymph node, lF is less than 1 cm, and IF it is not enlarging, it is probably nothing. But that is a lot of IFs. Best to show it to your doctor.
Have a hard umoveable pea sized nodule under skin an inch above jawline near the ear. What could it be? It's painless.
Sounds concerning: Agree that it needs to be evaluated and possibly biopsied by your doctor or specialist. A description of unmovable is concerning for malignancy. Good luckSee 1 more doctor answer

A hard @1/8 inch nodule has formed under the skin near the middle joint of my thumb. It does not hurt. Do I need to see a doctor?
Myxoid Cyst: A digital myxoid cyst (sometimes called a mucous cyst) is an entirely benign swelling that occurs on the fingers or, sometimes, the toes. Digital myxoid cysts are not catching and not a sign of infection. Furthermore, they are not cancerous and will not develop into skin cancer. The term cyst is from the greek kystis meaning a bag or pouch; myxoid and mucoid refer to the jelly-like contents.
Red nodules penis head, bumps scrotum very itchy all over body and groin especially at nights. No pain, blister or discharge. Possible scabies?
Many possibilities: You need to see your doctor right away while the lesions are still visible, do it now!
I have a blue nodule under my skin on my back. Sometimes if I'm sitting my back against a hard surface it hurts. What is it though?
Skin cancer: Nodular cancers can be pigmented or non pigmented. If pigmented- will need urgent attention as your doctor will need to rule out melanoma as they can be aggressive. Non pigmented still need to be seen as melanomas can be non pigmented in about 25% cases. Basal cell cancer and sq cell CA usually will resent with non healing lesions and then can ulcerate. See your doctor as they may be symptomless.See 1 more doctor answer
Skin nodules: Skin nodules = palpable collection of tissue in skin.
Few causes.: Most common causes are rheumatoid nodules and nodules related to thickening of the fascia. However if you are talking about the numerous little globules all over your feet that are seen with stretching of the skin and sometimes feel like bumps - those are normal but i'll be darned if I know what to call them.
Why recurrent nodule 1x1cm at lateral left nosedrill? Inside so not visible outside. No lymphnodes there but what? Painful. I have skin urticaria.
Infection?: If the area is painful, it is likely an infection with Staph being the most common. A topical antibiotic often works but will likely require a Rx from a doctor. Avoid plugging your nose hair in case you had been doing it.
Are cancerous nodules knots or lumps visible to everybody or is it fell under your skin? For example like on your neck
Skin nodules: There are many different kinds of skin nodules. Some are pimples and folliculitis and acne nodules. Acne medication could be used on those. However the majority of skin nodules are growths such as moles, dermatofibroma, seborrheic keratosis, or other malignant or benign neoplasm. See your dermatologist to evaluate the nodules and prescribe the appropriate therapy.
University: Make appointment with university dermatologist. They have access to many colleagues in the department and world wide. May be they can help.
A dermatologist: A dermatologist may be able to diagnose these nodules based on appearance; if the appearance is not diagnostic, a skin biopsy can be done to make a definitive diagnosis.
I have a solid, hard, immobile nodule on the back of my head, at the base of my skull cap. Thoughts? Concerns?
Wouldn't worry: But if this is definitely something new then, by all means have a doctor take a look see. Possible X-ray may be all that is needed to put you at ease. Good luck
