Rotator Cuff Arm Numbness
Could weakness and numbness in the rotator cuff down the arm from the shoulder be a full thickness tear?
Middle fingers on right is almost 100% numb and has an injury on rotator cuff on shoulder of opposite arm. Could numbness be from compensating for pain or from injury itself?
Did reformer pilates. Day after throb deltoid pain lft arm, inch or so below shoulder. Numbness in area? Could this be rotator cuff or just sprain?
Nerve?: The pain can be from many possible sources. Deltoid area pain with numbness may signify involvement of the axillary nerve or possibly the c5 or c6 levels at your neck. Early frozen shoulder pain can also be felt laterally. Hopefully, this is just a deltoid strain from the workout and will resolve shortly, otherwise see your doctor. Http://theshouldercenter. Neck shoulder: Have your neck checked. Most shoulder problems can radiate to the elbow but not as far downstream as the forearm or hand.See 1 more doctor answer
Not usually: The shoulder is usually an 'innocent bystander' when it comes to neurologic problems such as numbness and weakness that is found beyond the shoulder in the arm and forearm. The more likely culprit for these complaints is actually nerve compression emanating from the cervical spine.See 1 more doctor answer
Pinched Nerve: Sounds like you have a pinched nerve in your neck. I would suggest seeing a pain/spine specialist to evaluate you further to evaluate what level and what can be done to treat you. There are interventional treatments besides medications and surgeries that might reduce or eliminate the pain altogether.See 1 more doctor answer
I have rotator cuff tendinitis. About a month ago I started going numb from my shoulder to my elbow & now from my elbow to my fingers are tingling & numbing when I try to level my arm with my shoulder?
T.O.S.: Chronic shoulder aching followed by tingling ; numbness arm ; hand suggests thoracic outlet syndrome, as arm nerves are impinged (pinched) in shoulder region. These symptoms oft occur when arm raised to shoulder height as clavicle (collar bone) caused to rotate downward causing closure of space between clavicle ; underlying 1st rib. See an osteopath. Imo many neurologist doubt existence of tos.See 1 more doctor answer
I recently had rotator cuff surgery. If I hold my arm in certain positions, part of my hand and last 2 fingers become very numb.
See below: The nerves for the arm pass very close to the site of your shoulder surgery. It is quite possible that some swelling or scar tissue is impinging on them as they cross near this area. Talk to your orthopedic surgeon about your symptoms and let them guide your care.See 1 more doctor answer
Cerv Radiculopathy: Pain that radiates into the arm with associated numbness or weakness, suggests a pinched nerve. In older patients, this is often due to arthritis. Younger patients, herniated disc is often the cause. If symptoms result from postures or positions of the arm or shoulder, other causes are suggested: thoracic outlet, cubital or carpal tunnel. For symptoms that persist or worsen have a doc take a look.

If waking with both-arm numbness and immobility happened a lot, yet hasn't happened in ages, am I better?
Sleeping style chang: Definitely, credit should be given to the changes that you've made, either knowingly or unknowingly. You essentially must have changed your sleeping style. Keep an eye out for a return, but for the most part it seems that you are healed.
Rule out heart first: Number one cause in seriousness is heart disease / attack. If you haven't checked this out, do so right away. Other causes include pinched nerve in neck, shoulder injury, overuse syndrome of left arm, thoracic outlet syndrome, blockage of axillary artery.See 1 more doctor answer
