Vertigo: Greetings. Vertigo that recurs makes us think of a few different possible causes. Vertigo can be treated with meclizine. I usually recommend obtaining 12.5 mg tablets. You can take 1-2 tabs every 8 hours as needed for dizziness. I never recommend staying on these medications long term. Different treatments are available for recurring vertigo episodes. Maybe linked: Probably not a drug side effect. You don't say where your singles rash is. If the face, and especially if near the ear, you may have Ramsey Hunt syndrome, a type of herpes zoster (or sometimes herpes simplex) that can affect the inner ear and the nerves that control balance. You: You need medication, or an adjustment in your current medication. A BP of 150/100 along with dizziness is worrisome. You are at high risk for a stroke and heart attack as well. If you have not seen a doctor by now, then you must do so immediately.

Need check up: 30 minutes is a long time to have symptoms of full blown vertigo which you describe as the room spinning. Blood clot, TIA, virus, stroke, substance abuse come to mind.
