4yr w/stomachache.Mucus filled vomit 1st evry 1hr now evry 1/2 hr.Hasn't eaten.Had only 2 sips of water. Vomit is painful. When should we see the dr.?
Why wait?: Between now and whenever, you're likely to be worried and the child is likely to begin to become more upset and there is no reason to think it will just go away very soon - it's getting worse. Also staying hydrated is very important and 2 sips is not enough. Go noe to an urgent care or er if you can't see your regular doctor (being sunday). My wife has been vomiting and complaining of a stomachache. Hasn't been able to keep anything down. Also had chills last night. No fever.

If she can not keep anything down she can get dehydrated. If she has been healthy until now and do not have any risk factors for a systemic disease she can try over the counter medications for symptoms, peptobismol, emetro. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

If the fever is fairly low grade as you describe, with no more vomiting and they can keep down some fluids, then you are probably ok. Watch for excessive diarrhea, return of vomiting and signs of dehydration, and call your doc if those occur. ...Read more

6yr old threw up 5 times at night duringday has fever of 37 4 c to 37 1 with occasional stomachache low apetite but no more vomiting 2 is it a virus?
Probably a virus: Assuming the child has been healthy in the past and not on antibiotics for a long time, this is likely to be a virus. Giving mostly clear liquids, in small volumes frequently, will keep him/her hydrated. Don't worry about the decreased appetite and low-grade fever. If it is not better after 3-5 days overall, call the child's doctor for more specific advice. ...Read more
