Robaxin: While it can be used prn - it does work much better when you achieve a blood level and maintain it. Also - generally the sedation side effects wear off with regular use. No !: Robaxin (methocarbinol) does not directly relax tense muscles in most people and has not been shown be any more effective than pain killers or anti-inflammatory drugs like aspirin, ibuprofen or Aleve (naproxen). Robaxin can cause over-sedation, dizziness, nausea and constipation or diarrhea.
