See below: Cognistar is used in india and asia, but not legally available in us. It is actually a mix of ingredients, many of which are unfamiliar to me. There are no reliable research studies to prove benefit for alzheimer's or any condition so far, but cannot find reports of injury either. I am more than skeptical. Suggest using medical foods such as cerefolin-nac or axona, which do help in some. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

To find out if it is: You & his teacher can fill out the australian scale for aspergers in children for your pediatrician ( see tony attwood & o.A.S.I.S.Org, ) but it's not specific for asperger's. Hi, for the Alzheimer's disease. How to choose btween galantamine (galantamine hydrobromide) 4mg bd or memantine 5mg?
Not equivalent: Galantamine (galantamine (galantamine hydrobromide) hydrobromide) is in a different class of medicines than memantine so they are not equivalent. The combination of memantine and a cholinesterase inhibitor such as galantamine (galantamine hydrobromide) is used in moderate to severe dementia to decrease behavioral symptoms. The combination appears to work better than either alone. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Such a buzz about galantamine (galantamine hydrobromide) Improving bipolar cognition. Do you suggest this medicine or adapting, coping, compensating for bipolar memory problems?
Unimpressed: I'm unimpressed with any single medication as sole treatment strategy to thing as complex as cognition whether for Dementia, Bipolar, etc. Exception would be cases where low B12, D, folate, (folic acid) or thyroid, are proven causes of problem. Otherwise, proactive strategies to stimulate cognition much better chance of success (in my opinion). Want to talk about it? Write me: www.healthtap.com/dr-drsaghafi ...Read more

Better?: Both medications are classified as opioid analgesics meaning they are derived from opium. Ms contin (morphine) is an extended release formulation indicated for constant, chronic pain. These medications should only be prescribed for severe pain. The longterm use of these medications is controversial and should be done under the direction of a qualified physician. ...Read more
Not necessarily: As dr. Passer said, these are homeopathic remedies. Classical homeopathy has helped many with depression, but one has to be very detailed in taking the case & well-trained in order to do so. There are at least 4000 homeopathic remedies which could be the one called for -- not just these 2. Memory issues need a solid diagnostic neuropsychiatric evaluation and treatment. Collaboration best here. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
I'm suffering of insomnia, wernicke's aphasia, amnesia and ocd, myopia, apd, etcetera. Am i still healthy?
Depends: As none of these conditions are life threatening or leave you unable to function at least somewhat in most daily activities - perhaps w/ errors and needing some aid or assistance - it could be said that you are healthy COMPARED to others. But your list is long and serious enough that you do suffer some and feel particularly bad at times. Things are relative. Take care of yourself and find support. ...Read more
