It depends: Sedation usually goes away, weight usually does not, the movemnt side effects usually do not go away on their own, stomach side effects usualy go away, sexual side effects usually do not. Sedation, dystonia: The two most conmon side effects to be on the look out for are sedation and dystonia. The change in medicine you are describing is roughly equivalent in strength so I am not anticipating major problems for you although everyone is different! "Mylan" part but risperidone is a potent anti-psychotic which is also used to treat BI-POLAR disorders
It is a drug which helps BALANCE the chemicals in the brain which are related to MOOD (AFFECT) and THOUGHT. Discuss the long term effects with the Prescriber!!! It is clear you have to "have a talk"!

This means abnormal muscle movements which should go away in time. No: While it depends to some degree upon the condition that the antipsychotic is treating, you do not generally have to taper one before beginning another. In the case of going from Risperidone to clozaril, (clozapine) as Clozaril (clozapine) has to be titrated, usually you would remain on Risperdal until on enough Clozaril (clozapine) to likely control symptoms.
