Fungal infection: Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin. If a cream is used that the fungus is susceptible to then on average 2-3 weeks of treatment will "cure" most ringworm. Obviously a larger area or underlying disease like diabetes slows treatment progress as sugar is a good "food". I have pneumonia. My only symptom was sharp abdominal pain. I read it could be caused by fungus. Could I have gotten it from my rabbit's ringworm?

Unlikely: Abdominal pain can be a presenting symptom of pneumonia, as the process can prevent normal intestinal motility just beneath the breathing muscle (large intestine).Pneumonia is generally viral or bacterial. Fungal pneumonias are rare and usually only affect people with compromised immune systems.The rabbits ringworm would not be the type of fungus that causes pneumonia. ...Read more
