Fungal infection: Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin. If a cream is used that the fungus is susceptible to then on average 2-3 weeks of treatment will "cure" most ringworm. Obviously a larger area or underlying disease like diabetes slows treatment progress as sugar is a good "food". Unlikely: Abdominal pain can be a presenting symptom of pneumonia, as the process can prevent normal intestinal motility just beneath the breathing muscle (large intestine).Pneumonia is generally viral or bacterial.
