Stiff finger: Without swelling or deformity in the finger I believe the most likely etiology is a trigger digit with swelling or deformity I would lean more toward an arthritic joint. Trigger digits can hurt when trying to get the finger out straight typically leading to pain at the "pip joint." x-rays would help. ...Read more
