Left wrist weakness with no tingling/numbness. Pain/discomfort when wrist is rubbed at base of the thumb and when bent. Emg, X-ray and MRI are normal.

Still can be nerves: Even a mild case of carpal tunnel can be bothersome and sometimes elude emg. Also may be nothing. Shoulder injury: Perhaps, you injured your shoulder on that side some time ago and it never healed properly or left you with mild weakness in the hand and wrist without being severe enough to be detected on emg/ncv studies.
