Could be: Any number of GI or non-GI conditions. Your doctor can order tests that are warranted based upon careful review of your history and complete physical exam, and these can differentiate among the various causes.
Upper right quadrant pain. Cholecystectomy 8 years ago. Pain radiates to back /shoulder and is sharp about 40 min after eating. Liquid diet helps.
Pancreas: After your gallbladder has been removed you can still form stones or sludge that causes pain. Getting pain after eating around 30-40 minutes may be related to acid however. At your age a duodenal ulcer is possible. Lastly pancreatitis or inflammation of the pancreas can also be a cause. See your doctor you can be treated and feel better.See 1 more doctor answer
Pain in left upper quadrant, radiates to left arm and hand, dull in nature, starts after eating, weight50, ht5'2, plz tell cause possible in this cindition?
Pain on left side feels like trapped gas and it is felt on both lower and upper quadrants (low rib and underneath) Usually every few months after eating. Area hurts if pressed on. Could endometriosis or ovarian cysts be causing it?
Splenic flexure: The colon takes a sharp 90 degree turn under the left rib cage and this splenic flexure is the site of trapped gas at times. Applying heat to the abdomen and drinking hot water helps break down the gas enabling you to pass it. Taking simethicone after meals helps prevent gas build up. If these measures relieve your distress, it would rule out the other diagnoses.See 1 more doctor answer
See your doctor: These symptoms are not normal. See your doctor. He/she will listen to you, perform an examination, and possibly order tests to find out what's going on.
It depends: The best treatment depends on the cause of the pain. There can be several causes including liver and gall bladder disease. See a doctor.
Dull but intense right upper quadrant pain. Gallbladder removed 2 years ago. Been constant for a week now. What could be causing this?):
Ductal stone: Ductal stone/ scar tissue related impingement possible.....simple constipation related gas can also....
Stomach issues: It's very possible that this could be some sort of gastric or duodenal ulcer in the stomach or small intestine. If this persists in spite of otc tx with antacids and / or h2 blocers like Zantac (ranitidine) or ppi like Prilosec then you should see your physician. Common bile duct stones and pancreatitis can also cause symptoms like these as well.
See a doctor: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you and your symptoms warrant evaluation by a physician.
