If the pain if primarily confined to your neck, an overstretched or injured muscle is more likely . Muscles- skeletal : most likely, in your case it's the muskuloskrletal system. Maybe you pulled a muscle? Strained? Lifted a heavy weight? Less likely cause for you can be from your heart, or lungs. Now until you have risk factors heart is unlikely. If you have fevers, cough, phlegm, lungs might be affected. See a doc if concerned ,Especially if travelled recently or any risk for blood clots. Sharp pain with deep breath could be due to: virus, bacteria (ie, pneumonia); if any previous trauma: broken ribs, pneumothorax (in your case depending on history very unlikely).
