Usually not cardiac.: If only five sec then usually not cardiac. Cardiac is lasting into the minutes and can be related with activity. This could also be skeletal pain. Severe pain in right shoulder, and pinching pain in chest under right boob, and inside of left arm, when I move my left arm up. Right shoulder worst.

Pain: lots of possibilities. If Short of breath or bad chest pain should be seen now to insure not cardiac in origin or lung related. I only mention heart as you have left arm pain too, but hurts more with movement, so unlikely. Most common thing for a female and right upper abdomen/lower chest and right shoulder pain would be gall bladder. Go see a doctor to help delineate. ...Read more

Chest pain on right side going through to my shoulder. I think it might be that my lungs are congested. I have allergies, but not a cold right now. It can be very uncomfortable to move my right shoulder.

Don't know your age, gender, smoking history, cardiac history, etc. Although this would be an unusual presentation, I am still going to add information about myocardial infarctions. Symptoms of a heart attack can include: chest pain; chest tightness or squeezing; shortness of breath, increased sweating pain or numbness radiating down the arm (more often left than right) and nausea. Some people dismiss the pain thinking it is indigestion. There can be pain in the top midline of the abdomen, as well as vomiting. Pain may not present in the chest but instead can be felt in the upper back, head, jaw or in the teeth. There may be a generalized feeling of unwellness and fatigue.
