Cyst is 7cmx6cmx5cm. Unsure as to why the pain is on wrong side?
Surgery may answer: Surgical exploration either by laparotomy or laparoscopy is needed to remove and diagnose your ovarian cyst and perhaps offer you an answer to your question. Keep in mind that your right ovarian cyst may have been and remain "asymptomatic"; the pain on your left may be unrelated to the cyst (unless endometriosis or a malignancy is found), may be due to other causes or may not be explained at all ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Can hemorrhegic ovarian cyst develop in left ovary One month and resolves and then develops in the right ovary the next month ?
I am 49 years. U/s reveals right ovary cyst measuring 3.7 x 2.5 cms with single septation. Could it be cancer. Got spotting after 21 months.
Questionable: Simple cysts without septation have very low risk of cancer. Complex cysts with multiple septations have higher chance. Single septatation feature without further description of the cyst is not enough info to tell how bad the cyst is. Either provide full us report or repeat it in 3 months to document stability. ...Read more

It's a baby: A positive pregnancy test is a baby until proven otherwise. If unsure, one can repeat a home urine pregnancy test 7-10 days later... they are very accurate. If the second test is positive, there's a baby embryo or fetus in there. That means it's time to call one's doctor to schedule a prenatal visit. The usual ovarian cysts don't cause false positive pregnancy tests. ...Read more

Quite common: It is quite common to have an ovarian cyst in pregnancy. Really the only way a cyst can be dangerous to your pregnancy is if it twists on itself (torsion) and requires surgical removal during the pregnancy. Most cysts that undergo torsion are significantly larger than yours. If you have no symptoms of pain, i would not worry at this time. If pain develops talk to you primary ob. ...Read more

Not necessarily: In young patients such as yourself, ovarian cysts typically resolve spontaneously. A follow up ultrasound done in the post menstrual phase in 2-3 months should indicate if the cyst is persistent or not, or if has changed characteristics. You have already had laparoscopic surgery recently, you do not want to undergo another similar surgery unless absolutely necessary. ...Read more
