Could a Hida scan and Ct scan miss something wrong with the gallbladder? Upper right quadrant pain. Normal lab values for liver kidneys and pancreas?
While no test is perfect; a normal HIDA essentially shows that the gallbladder is functioning well. There are " quantitative" HIDA scans that are more sensitive than a regular scan.
It is more likely that your pain is not from the gallbladder (often difficult to exactly pin down, but you are unlikely to get improvement having the gallbladder removed. ...Read more
