Depends on how it started, exacerbating and relieving factors, radiation of pain towards the legs and how far, other symptoms like tingling, numbness or weakness etc. If there are no other symptoms, pain should get better in a week or two. If it persists, see a pain specialist to get a proper evaluation. ...Read more
Recently I'm experiencing pain on my lower abdomen when I drink cold water so I will like to know what causes that? Pls help.
Abdomen pain started after around three months I started to drink a huge amount of water around 4/5 l per day with frequent urine pass. Why is this?
Frequent urination: If you are drinking 4-5 liters of fluid a day, your kidneys are doing their job of excreting excess water. I suspect that your urine is quite light in color. If you drink, only two liters of fluids/day, your urine production should decrease. If not, see a doctor as your kidneys may be diseased or you have one that is causing this increased amount of urine. ...Read more

I haven't been to the bathroom in more than five day, have chest pain, my abdomen is rock-hard, I have been drinking water. What should I do?
Occasionally I get a squeezing pain on the right side of my abdomen. It is relieved by drinking water and then belching. Any idea what this is??
Unusual: Pain in the center of the chest relieved by drinking water is characteristic of esophageal spasm, but I haven't encountered this syndrome suggesting transient spasm in the abdomen. It's possibly a gas bubble in the intestine or transient gall bladder spasm since it's centered on the right side of the abdomen. It would be interesting to hear a gastroenterologist's opinion. ...Read more
Why am I not sweating when I work out? I'll be a little damp on my lower back but won't sweat a drop from the neck up. I am drinking plenty of water.
Fit?: As you grow more fit your body will change how it sweats; it may be that you need to increase your level of activity as you've become too efficient to break a sweat at what you are doing now. There are rare cases where people are unable to sweat at all, but this is unlikely. If you are are really worried, see a dermatologist. ...Read more
Whenever I lay down after I drink some water (any amount), my lower back (possibly around my kidneys) begins to hurt. It's just very uncomfortable.

My 6 year old son is complaining about pain when he pees. He also has pain in his lower back. He ran two fevers. I have given him fever reducer for children. Given him colder baths and lots of water to drink.
The symptoms you describe could be a urinary tract infection, which is in general unusual for boys to develop, and this should be evaluated by his pediatrician. The more severe level of infection can involve the kidneys, and a kidney infection in a child could cause those issues you report, the fevers and back (or kidney/flank) pain. While it might be better with the cold baths and water, if he has an infection it should be treated with antibiotics.
There might be anatomic variations that lead some children tio be at risk for developing a urinary or kidney infection, and ultimately that possibility might need to be assessed by a pediatric urologist. But initially, you should have your son examine for a possible infection, and his pediatrician can determine following that if any treatment or further examination is warranted.
Importantly, kidney infections should be addressed with some urgency because repeated infections are recognized to lead to permanent injury and scarring of the kidneys, and they can lose function and suffer inrreversible damage otherwise. ...Read more
I've had a UTI for about a week, been drinking lots of water and vitamin c, not working! I have been experiencing really sharp pains in my lower back?
Good day. Especially when I smoke, I feel discomfort in my testis n lower abdomen. It usually subsides if I drink water or after a while. What's wrong?
Could be UTI: The symptoms you have are consistent with a urinary tract infection. The fact that your back hurts implies that it may have begun to spread into the kidney. If you develop nausea and vomiting, the kidney is certainly involved. Dramatically increase fluids to the point your urine is clear. Drink apple or cranberry juice to acidify the urine. If sx don't improve, or fever, need to see doc. ...Read more
