Can appendicitis pain be intermittent? I have some lower right abdominal and flank pain over 48hrs but not only few hours at night. Gone during day.
Unlikely: Appendicitis pain is unlikely to come and go. It generally comes and grows. A pattern of pain more likely to act as you have described is common with kidney stones. Generalized abdominal pain which "settles" in the right lower abdomen is pretty "classical"for acute APPENDICITIS. Not to alarm you but you need to go to an ER for evaluation if your PCP (Primary Care Provider) is unavailable now!
