My right eye has been twitching continuously for the past four months, i also have a slight facial numbness on the right side of my face.

My right eye has been twitching continuously for the past four months, i also have a slight facial numbness on the right side of my face.

See Neurologist: Twitching of an eyelid is not rare and results from spontaneous firing off of a twig (branch) of the facial nerve(viith cranial nerve). However, numbness of the face, if it is truly present, is the result of lack of innervation of the trigeminal nerve (vth cranial nerve). Inasmuch as these nerves arise from the brain, i would consult a neurologist for an appropriate diagnosis. ...Read more

See doc: If the headache throbs and often associated with nausea, it is most likely migraine which can be controlled with various Rx medications. At times numbness may be a part of migraine. Have you talked to your doctor about this? As for the small veins, they are not likely to be significant unless they are spreading or proliferating. ...Read more

I have a drinking problem I used to do meth I have red on the inside of my right eye and I have tingling In my face neck and arm numbness to ?

Appreciate open &...: directness of the question. Happy to provide an answer, that may not be as concrete. For one it depends on how bad are the drinking and past drug problems. These symptoms could certainly be a non serious nerve irritation but also may be cardiomyopathy from alcohol or serious heart attack warning signs from meth. So without a complete evaluation, this could be a serious condition. ...Read more

I took 1g of MDMA 2 months ago and since then my right eye has felt numb and sometimes droops. Can damage of the SNS be cured? Is this temporary?

Maybe: truth is, we dont know. That's why we tell you not to take designer drugs, b/c somebody willing to break the law had to cook them for you. Do you think they check diplomas? Cleanliness of lab? Even if DRUG is safe, (it's NOT) impurities aren't. Nerves are weird, though, and you are young. Have you tried acupuncture? For surface issues such as this I am a big fan. Facial exercises help, too. GL! ...Read more

I have left sided migraines. When I take ibruprofen my right eye and face can feel numb sensation. Why could this be?

Can happen: doubt that numbness has to do with the ibuprofen, but most likely related to the migraine. this happens. Doesn't change the management. treatment depends on how disabling migraine is. ie. with frequent at least 2 times per week migriaine daily meds to prevent are suggested, with less frequent we treat with high doses of otc or drugs like imitrex (sumatriptan) and maxalt. ...Read more

Wet, cold, slightly numb sensation on right side of forehead since I woke up today (7 hours now). Also now feeling similar behind my right eye. ?

You need to be seen: It sounds like something in the nervous system, which could be as mild as an atypical migraine headache or as serious as a stroke. You would need an examination to determine the difference. Incidentally, the risks go WAY up if you have used any recreational drugs, and go up somewhat just from smoking. Good luck! ...Read more

Right eye has been on/off twitching for days. Now my right cheek/eye area is numb ?

Let's analyze: The eye twitching could be a benign condition called "myokymia", but now you are describing trigeminal distribution numbness on same side which does raise questions of brainstem, base of brain process. Would suggest seeing your doctor and considering MRI of brain, and possibly spinal fluid analysis. Best to get to the bottom of this asap. ...Read more

My jaw is tense and my face has numb/tingly feeling going on from my chin to my right eye. Any ideas? I do have tmj.

Possibly clenching: That does sound like symptoms related to clenching your teeth. If you have had TMJ pain symptoms in the past, this could be a continuation or extension of that. I would recommend seeing your dentist for evaluation. ...Read more
