Right Back Tight
Months of right upper back tightness. Right upper chest tightness as well. Feels like it needs to crack but doesn't. What could this be??
See doctor: This could be almost anything. I recommend a physical examination. Your physician might want to do a chest x-ray. If your doctor doesn't find anything serious, a chiropractor might be of some use. ...Read more
I have a pretty large size lump on my lower right back, I have tightness of my muscle on that side and pain sitting or standing. What should I do?
I woke up with neck pain that radiated to my middle back now its moved to my right hand and back feels tight can't sleep on my right side coz of pain.
Most likely muscular: Waking up with neck pain is usually secondary to sleeping on a bad position and resultant muscle pain/spasms. However, anytime you get symptoms on the arm, in your case the hand, is important to rule out any problem coming from the cervical spine. Muscle, ligament and tendons can cause referred pain as well. You should visit your physician for evaluation and treatment. ...Read more
Last night I woke up with a severe pain in my upper right side of my back, tight chest, sharp pain in chest when inhaling. I had to sit up to relieve the pain. Finally fell asleep by lying on my left side with head up. I am currently on Coveram 5/10.
Pain in the right buttock then upper back tightness with trouble breathing hurts to walk and to move arms because of back all this a day apart.
I want to be wrong..:
Very little information to work with... However:
consider DVT (deep vein thrombosis) and early pulmonary embolism. See your family doctor, ask to evaluate for DVT (venous doppler study?)
i hope that I am wrong... But if I am not, it could be too dangerous to ignore or delay treatment.
Yes, it could be just coincidental; but I have to consider the most dangerous case scenario. ...Read more

Muscle tension: Really, nothing to speak of causes only numbness in the lower spine. All I would surmise would be spasms/tension that could conceivably cause only numbness along with tightness. My take for you. ..: For a 39-yr man still troubled with tight foreskin, the most reasonable bid for long-term care is circumcision, which could be done "easily" under informed consent and aseptic condition as an outpatient. What could cause tightness/pain in central left back (area appears to be swollen too) - it has lasted almost a week.?
Muscle Strain: A muscle strain may lead 2 pain and swelling. A specific cause is scapulothoracic dysfunction. It could also be a benign fat tumor called lipoma. More likely if this had not come to your attention until you bumped or hit it. Could also be a cyst that has become infected or inflamed under the skin. My best bet is a muscle strain. If it is red hot or swollen, it could be a an infection. ...Read more

Tightness c/w muscle: contraction, which (if enough & sustained) can become painful. All our muscles (heart muscle more so; especially inner walls nearest chambers) ↓ blood flow during contraction. The contraction pressure opposes & ↓es blood flow into muscles via arteries & capillaries while ↑es flow outward into the veins. Thus sustained contractions induces ischemia & (if long enough) contractions become painful. ...Read more
