I have twitching under my right arm, what does that mean?

It means that there: are fibers of muscle going through the armpit that are rapidly contracting but not forcefully enough to jerk the entire limb. But you knew that! Clinically speaking? Likely nothing if it's isolated & goes away by itself.. Twitching's a normal response when a muscle is either irritated by a chemical or other element or it's just bored. Arm Twitching all day. Uncle died of als?

Arm Twitching all day. Uncle died of als?

Probably not ALS: Fortunately it is unlikely that you inherited any gene for ALS (90-95% of ALS is NOT inherited) and it was your uncle, not your parent! The most common first symptom of ALS is weakness and atrophy (shrinking) of muscles in the affected body part. Sometimes muscle twitches can simply be from pinched nerves or overuse/fatigue of a muscle. If the symptoms continue, see your DR. ...Read more

Can occur all over: Muscle twitching can be from dehydration or problems in electrolytes. Cramps can also occur with this. Pain in my right arm after using new mouse, also there's random fasciculations/twitching, and numbness? Pitched nerve or worse?

Mild pinched nerve : Your symptoms are likely related to mild pinching of the peripheral nerves in your arm sometimes causing intermittent muscle twitching. This often happens due to the way we sit and either put pressure on the elbows or wrists. You may try either wrist splints or elbow pads for comfort. If your pain is not improving or you have any neck pain or weakness in the hand then please see your doctor ...Read more

Vitamin D/Calcium: Can be many reasons for this, but often due to inadequate calcium and vitamin d in your diet. Hydration can also play a role if you are working out and not replenshing your fluids and electrolytes. I would start with 600 mg of calcium and 3-4000 units of vitamin d a day and see if that helps. ...Read more

How long: where you sitting in front of the computer using the mouse? in what position where you in? I doubt if the random twitching is related to use of the mouse. You may help alleviate this discomfort by doing simple stretching exercises. Put your arms up in the air and stretch, roll your head to the left and right slowly, roll you shoulders. If symptoms worsen, please see your primary doc. ...Read more
