Right Arm And Hand Brain Tumor
Numbness/light pain in my left pinky and ring fingers, and side of hand. Maybe spreading elsewhere in hand. Fear of motor neuron disease.
Don't think so: Hi. What you're describing would be a sensory neuropathy, and given the distribution (ulnar nerve), I suspect it's a physical problem ,not metabolic. Motor neuron disease (aka ALS) only affects nerves to muscles, and leaves sensory nerves alone. I'm not a neurologist, but I feel safe in assuring you this is not motor neuron disease. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Rt Arm Pain & Weak: Sometimes pathology in your neck can cause symptoms like this out of the blue (disc bulges or protrusions). Stenosis (narrowing around the nerves) can do this but usually see this in much older patients. Nerves that appear to be involved in your hand are C6, C7, & C8. Nerve root injury: One of the more common causes of your symptoms is a cervical nerve root injury called cervical radiculopathy. In a man of your age the cause is more likely to be osteoarthritis affecting the foramen (hole where the nerve root exits). The reports of numbness argues against an intrinsic shoulder problem and without antecedent trauma a brachial plexus lesion is unlikely. Please go see your doc. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
