Hello, please advise me about reduce triglycerides. What type food or vegetables are helpful and what type of gym. Thanks, reza?
Don't Rx lab value: I'm going to assume this was your fasting triglycerides; levels mean nothing otherwise. Like many other physicians, I doubt the value of treating isolated elevation in triglycerides, but I'd urge you to get back into that intensive aerobic-fitness-focused lifestyle you enjoyed so much as a teen. Do it for your overall health, not just to treat a number. Best wishes. ...Read more

I'm having a real bad growing itch what can I do about it...I'm a very clean person but its almost like its very irritated down in that area...?
GROIN (GROWING) ITCH: If you mean "groin" itch, it's the itch between the legs. It can be due to many things. It could be a yeast infection (if you are a woman), it could be a fungous infection (if you are a man.) it can be due to soaps & detergents. Do see your doctor. There is no way of making a diagnosis without actually seeing your problem. ...Read more
I have a rib or 2 on the right midside around to the back when I press on the area it hurts real bad. Also when I lay on my right or back it hurts bad?
See doctor: If pain can be definitely localized to ribs themselves, then trauma or sometime inflammation are usually the etiologies. If exercising or having repeated trauma to the area can injure ribs. The usual solution is to stop if possible the source of trauma. If no trauma, you should seek combination of physician and some imaging may be required for more specific source of the problem. And its treatment. ...Read more

I'm 39. Read there are rare instances where someone my age can grow couple inches taller. Is it true & what would make it happen? Aren't bones fused?
Never heard of that: I am not aware of those instances. You're right in that growth plates are closed and no new bone is being formed in those areas. The only other exception for new bone formation is when one has a fracture but that process is different from lengthening the bone. Plus, why would you like grown any taller now? I am sure you have so many other traits to be admired for besides your height! ...Read more

Hi I am a 23 mom of 2 kids, I've always had this problem of being real yeastie or just always so moist down in my vaginal area. Nothing has worked why?
Diet: Look at your diet to see for possible causes. Bread, pastas and refined sugar can make you moist in the vagina. Also some women use a lot of deodorant in the vulvar area and can actually be irritating your tissues. It is best to avoid douching as well. Keep vulvar area dry. If you have been diagnosed with recurrent yeast infections, you may consider weekly fluconazole for 3 months ...Read more

Has anyone had any success with thuja occidentalis 30c homeopathic pellets for removal of oral warts? I've been using as directed and experiencing some discomfort in that area. I've read this is normal?
Quackery, don’t use: This is unscientific nonsense treatment for warts or other HPV problems. Warts never cause pain or “discomfort”, and oral warts are rare, even in people orally exposed to them. See a doctor for diagnosis and treatment if you remain concerned, but don’t waste good money on this junk. ...Read more
Yes, recommended: It is not always the severity of the injury that determines necessity of care. If you still have thoughts or hear voices to harm yourself, then you need to get that under control for your safety. Superficial cuts in the wrong places can harm you more than a deep cut elsewhere. ...Read more

Is there a way to treat lumpy areas from perlane (dermal fillers) injections? I've read that fillers sometimes get lumpy after injection. If that happens to me, how can I fix it? .
Does perlane (dermal fillers) feel natural? I've never had fillers before. I've read some comments complaining that the area felt hard after perlane (dermal fillers) injections. Is that normal? Does it stay hard and unnatural feeling? .
Hardness improves: It's normal to feel the filler if pressing on the skin but it should not feel like a hard lump or appear on the surface. It works by plumping up the skin so you can "palpate" the filler. Usually feels like a firmness under the skin. Also the initial hardness that you feel is the initial swelling, bruising and inflammation caused by the injection which improves after a few weeks. ...Read more
There is a significant difference is the average size of the female abdominal aorta versus the male aorta.
The average size of the female is about 1.8-2.5 cm,
and the average size of the male aorta is higher.
If the distal vessels, going to the legs are of normal
size and caliber, and the patient is female-there is no concern. If male, then a better look at the walls
of the aorta, is needed. ...Read more
