Reviews For Mederma Stretch Mark Cream
No definite timeline: Stretch marks, or striae distensae, behave like scars in that they are the result of skin expansion that stretches the skin leading to skin injury with a thin, atrophic scar. Scars creams, like mederma, may help with some of the discoloration, especially if used for three to four months. Generally, discoloration should improve anyway as the stretch mark matures and lasers may help down the road. ...Read more
Scar improvement: Scar improvement can be achieved, but it takes patience. An overnight improvement is simply impossible. There is no clinical evidence to support Mederma. You need a long peel. This is achieved with tretinoins. Also, microdermabrasion and/or dermabrasion depending on scar depth. A chemical peel is also an otpion, Tretinoins, abrasions, and peels all achieve the desired skin slough. Good luck ...Read more
Which one works best for ice pick scars or box scars on face? Mederma Scar gel or Scarzone Scar Diminishing Cream SPF 15, 1 oz?
I have burnt my eyes' orbital areas with dettol and now developed a scar. Since 15 days I am using mederma cream. What do you suggest Sir and how long will it take?
I have acne scar but they are not deep they are on the surface is there an cream that can help lighten it? Like Mederma
Not a fan of Mederma: I am not a big advocate of mederma. The active ingredient is allium cepa (onion extract) and there is weak evidence to suggest that this is beneficial but the research behind medierma is some what not convincing. While it will not hurt unless you have a topical allergic reaction, it probably will not help. You are better off to try silastic sheeting or silicone gel + sunblock. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I've trouble socialising becoz of dark chicken pox pot mark on my face, used Mederma btnot much help. Any other creams? Derma-treatment too expensive 4me
No: Creams that make stretch marks look less obvious only work if one uses some sort of cream every day. So, it is fine to use the least expensive, nicest smelling cream. The stretch marks don't go away (they're still there inside the skin). Funbact-A contains corticosteroids and can cause unhealthy side effects if used too much. Also, some types of stretch marks may be signs of a hormonal disorder. ...Read more
Does those expensive stretch mark creams remove dark stretch marks.... What is the best way to remove them its been here for 9 months?
No: They don't work at all. I really wish they did, believe me! They will fade with time. There are also laser treatments that can help but these are quite expensive. And there's no point now because if you plan to have more children, you might get new stretch marks. These are your marks of pride, and you should be proud of being a mom and having a healthy pregnancy. Good luck! ...Read more

Are there any stretch mark removal or fading creams or serums that actually work or are recommended or or are most of them just all hypes?
Don't really work: Creams that make stretch marks look less obvious only work if one uses some sort of cream every day. So, it is fine to use the least expensive, nicest smelling cream. The stretch marks don't go away (they're still there inside the skin). Most people decide to live with the stretch marks and let them fade over the years. Important: some types of stretch marks may be signs of a hormonal disorder. ...Read more

I have a stretch mark on forehead at the age of 9. This mark is due to hitting on wall. Now mine age is 20. Plzz suggest me a cream for removing that?
Probably keloid: You can try vitamin e ointment on it but my best advice is to see and ENT or a plastic surgeon who can diagnose it properly. These physicians can inject it or remove it and not leave a scar. The scar left will depend on the orientation of the longest part or the lesion. It also depends on the location if it is in a muscle crease or not. Good luck! Get an appointment soon. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
