C4-c5, c5-c6 disc replacement surgery. Interbody cage fusion cause adjacent discs to degenerate but using mobi-c will not. True?
Maybe: A theoretical advantage of artificial disk replacement is reduction in risk of other disks degenerating. Fusion is associated with this problem, but it is only one factor. Disk replacements in the neck do well, but may not always prevent disk problems at other levels. Ongoing research looking at long term outcomes are needed to answer this question. Early results are promising. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Get 2nd opinion: Elbow fractures that require orif( open reduction and internal fixation) are prone to elbow stiffness. If p.T./ bracing( dyna splint to improve extension) is not improving your motion consider seeing an ors who is proficient @ elbow arthroscopy. Arthroscopic release can improve elbow motion dramatically in some pts. It can be technically demanding so speak w/ your ors and see if this is an option. ...Read more

Had anterior labral focal depression of shoulder bone &got repaired through binocular surgery, now when I do shoulder exercise spring like sound comes?
Focal scarring: I believe the labrum probably has some scar tissue associated with the original injury, and there is bound to be some scarring from the surgery itself. If there is no pain or limitation of range of motion, the noise should not be a concern, only a side effect of injury and surgery. If there is pain or a limitation to your use of the shoulder, see an ortho and get an MRI to investigate ...Read more

What degree of post-op pain can I expect from bone grafting for future dental implant? Like bone/gum grafting of 3 front lower teeth due to recession?
Same as any surgery: after surgery pain and swelling will vary from one person to another, nevertheless, you should be able to control the pain with pain killers and anti inflammatory medication that your surgeon will be prescribing. The pain if any should taper off after the first 24 hours. You should just avoid the area from food and brushing for a couple of weeks and you will do very well. Go for it. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
