Retrieve Cream How Long Does It Take To Work
Not actually a bleac: Tretinoin has some bleaching properties, but is not actually a bleach. It does enhance the penetration of other topicals, including bleaches.
I have freckles & I have now tried the retrieve cream and layered it on and no redness or tingling or anything? Does this mean it won't work for me?
Freckles: Usually do not cause skin cancer hence do not need to be treated. Most cream or lotion will be ineffective. Make up can be used to cover freckles. People who freckle easily may avoid exposure to sunlight and wear sunblock. If particularly concerned about looks laser treatment may be an optionSee 1 more doctor answer
Use forever: I love tretinoin and think that every non-pregnant person should be using this (until it expires, of course). A small pea sized amount to your entire face at night is recommended. You can use it elsewhere if desired but not overuse as will cause irritation. Works for acne, pigmentation, mild scars, and reversing sun damage. Use the right sunscreen daily and give it 6-9 months for best results.
I was prescribed minocyline HCl and tretinoin cream a week and a half ago. How long should the combo take to clear my skin?
Acne: On average, it usually takes 4-6 weeks to start see response to these medication. Keep working with cleaning your face with hypoallergenic soap like neutrogenea
Does tretinoin cream remove ice picked scars or boxcar? Will tretinoin is helpful in fading those scars? How long it may take?
NOT PRESCRIBED: FOR THAT PURPOSE, I WILL REALLY NOT RECOMMEND IT, CAN HAVE COMPLICATIONS.
I have used retin A (tretinoin) cream on penis head only 2 days. Now skin is rough, dead and dry. Can it be healed properly? How long will it take? What to apply?
Stop RetinA: Do not use this on the penis. It is never used there. It is always irritating. Water is OK. Use something lubricating such as vaseline or Aquaphor. It will heal in a few days.
My doctor told me that tretinoin cream will fade hyper pigmented spots on my face. How long will the cream take to fade those areas?
Tretinoin for Scars: Retrieve cream contains tretinoin. Tretinoin is most effective in the treatment of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and shallow scars. It helps speed up the removal of darkened surface skin cells leading to a more even toned appearance. It is also effective in treatment of shallow scars, such as "ice pick" scars caused by acne. It works by stimulating collagen formation in the effected areas.
Triluma: Triluma is a special bleaching cream that may help. Please see your dermatologist.
When using Tretinoin 0.05% cream to reduce wrinkles, can you use other night creams as well? If so, which do you apply first and how long in between?
Yes: I love tretinoin for skin rejuvenation! I generally recommend that my patients wash their face in the evening, apply a toner and then the tret. I then recommend that you wait 15 minutes before applying other creams on top of the tret. If you get skin irritation from the tret you can "cut" it with a moisturizer. Can I use tretinoin cream to treat the steroid induced rosacea (type 2)? Is this safe to use it in long term?
Tretinoin is not: Treatment for rosacea, and not the treatment for steroid induced anything (I have never heard the term steroid induced rosacea). I would see dermatologist for treatment of your condition
I have eruptive syringtomas on my thigh, how can I cure it? I've tried retin a (tretinoin) cream, nothing works.
Typically topicals: Do not work. I recommend appointment with dermatologist for either electrodesiccation or laser treatments. And it can take multiple sessions
My skin is badly damaged by steroid cream for a long time. How long will I see the improvement from using tretinoin cream to help my skin thicker?
Thicken skin: The tretinoin cream may take 6 to 8 weeks to see much change although I have seen it work sooner
Takes time: These topical retinoic acid creams work best long-term by causing de-differentiation of the sebaceous glands that allow acne to arise. Try using this, with or without adding topical Clindamycin if your physician thinks this is okay, for several weeks and this should help prevent recurrence.See 1 more doctor answer
Clindamycin cream and retin a (tretinoin) is enough to treat acne? How long should I wait to see the result?
At least 10-14 days: The combination of the two medications is reasonable for treating acne--depending upon the severity. You will need to use it for at least 10-14 days before you may see an improvement. Remember though, acne can be controlled, but nor definitively cured.
Is it safe to use tretinoin cream.01% long-term? Have used for 10 years...Great skin. Also curious whether it counts toward my daily vitamin a?
Safety long-term use: It is theoretically safe to use tretinoin long-term without adverse consequences to your skin. There is some anecdotal evidence that there is an increased risk for the occurrence of skin cancer in retinoid and retinol users who live in high sun areas. This is presumably because vitamin a derivatives increase sun sensitivity and use of sunscreen and sun protective measures are wholly inadequate.See 2 more doctor answers
