What is the life expectancy of a healthy 62 year old retired dentist?

What is the life expectancy of a healthy 62 year old retired dentist?

That depends on many: Things. I could quote meaningless population averages and say 78, which is the current average for our nation. But depending on lifestyle choices and circumstance he could live to be 110 or die tomorrow in a freak accident. So let's think positive and say if he takes care of his health, eats right, doesn't smoke, drinks only 2-3 drinks a week, exercises daily and thinks happy thoughts, then 100. ...Read more

Do teen pregnancy statistics mix the 18-19 yr old adults with the 16-17 year olds?

Do teen pregnancy statistics mix the 18-19 yr old adults with the 16-17 year olds?

Good question: It depends which studies you are looking at. Most will define it as less than 19 years old. By changing the definition though to an earlier age the statistics will obviously change. Most news stories do not usually clarify that. For accurate numbers go to the national campaign to prevent teen pregnancy website. They are a well funded nonpartisan group with accurate information. ...Read more

Teen age hormonal imbalance 14 year old male questionable masculine development?

Teen age hormonal imbalance 14 year old male questionable masculine development?

Improbable...: I'm not sure what your question is here, but apparently you think you have "hormonal imbalance" at age 14. Of course you do - that is what is normal in the teen years. Nothing is in the right proportions yet, levels change constantly. That's why you have acne, are moody, have wet dreams, voice cracks. Sounds like you are the most normal teen i've heard from this week! ...Read more

Why is the age requirement for silicone breast implants 22 years old?

Why is the age requirement for silicone breast implants 22 years old?

NO LOGICAL REASON: Other than administrative bureaucrats making this decision. I have had the same question when 21 years seems to be the age of consent for all other adult behaviors. It appears that the fda wants to give adult women one more year to think about it. There is no logical reason for this arbitrary cutoff. ...Read more

Age 62 male - 6 yrs post total thyroidectomy for stage 3 ptc. Tsh 22, now 7. Indication of recurrent ptc?

TSH is not for Cance: Tsh is a test for thyroid function. If it is high that means thyroid is not making enough hormone(thyroxine) so he may need an extra(increase in) dose. My daughter is currently 14 , however her bone age is >15 years. Her current height is 4'11 no hormone deficiencies detected. Mum is 160cm, dad-169cm?

? question ?: You gave some data but asked no clear question. I'll assume you are wondering how much taller she can grow. It is hard to predict. Most girls will grow up to 2.5 in after first menses. Her expected height based only on her parents would be around 5"3" but if she entered puberty early (advanced bone age), She may slow and stop soon. ...Read more
