Are acne scar removal products specfically creams like bio oil, selevax as effective as fractional co2 laser?
Which is better for wrinkles on your face Retin A, (tretinoin) Glycolic Acid or a product containing Retinol. I'm confused. Tyvm?
Different chemicals: They are all beneficial but are different. They stimulate skin to rapidly exfoliate, make new smoother skin and stimulate collagen&elastin. Tretinoin and Retinol come from Vit.A . Retin A:brand of Tretinoin, best effect, mostirritation,Script only. Retinol :midpotency, midirritant, OTC Glycolic acid is from Sugar. Lesser exfoliation and improvement of collagen&elastin, OTC, better for dry skin ...Read more
Is SkinLite cream effective? Also, is it safe to use? Active ingredients: Hydroquinone 2% + Tretinoin .025% + Mometasone Furoate 0.1%
It is safe but not: without risks. First remember that HQ2% is low concentration so may not be enough to lighten skin. Tretinoin is sun senstizing so use product at bedtime and sparingly so you don't get too dry or irritated. Mometasone is a steroid so again use sparingly and take breaks off the topical. If not getting results you want, see derm for prescription strength or other treatment options ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Acne: Adapalene is formulation of Retin_a basically a vitamin A durative that helps control exfoliation and reduces acne. It is not sensitive to Benzoyl peroxide. Clindamycin is an antibiotic you rub onto your face and it gets absorbed. It is a means of taking antibiotics without a pill. it doesn't get as high a blood lever and tends to act at the acne itself. These are mainstays of acne care. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hydroquinone: Hydroquinone is certainly more potent in real clinical settings. However, it is quite concentration dependent. I do not find the 2% concentrations to be very effective vs. the 4% concentrations (or higher if compounded) that you can get by prescription. Nonetheless, Arbutin could be quite effective as a stand alone treatment for milder cases of hyperpigmentation. ...Read more
Indian brown skin. Uneven skin tone. No acne. Micodrmabrasion, Micronedling, Photofacial, PRP, colagen, hyluronc acid or glycolc peel, whch is better?
Leave it alone: None of these are likely to "help". Please forgive my frankness. Many folks have "poikiloderma", skin of varying colors. If you have freckles and don't want them, a sunscreen may help some. Nobody worth knowing cares whether your skin tone is "uneven". Appearance is about physical fitness and how you carry yourself and interact with others. Focus on what you can manage and you'll look fantastic. ...Read more

Which ingredient is the best way fight wrinkles? Retinol, peptides, collagen, stem cells, plancenta, amino acids or vitamin C
Growth factors: We have known since the 70s that retinoids and retinols are great collagen stimulators (which equals wrinkle fighters). In this century, we developed collagen growth factors which are derived from actual human skin and are necessary for collagen to thrive, thus reducing and eliminating wrinkles. Note i did not say "appearance of wrinkles". Skinmedica is my favorite product to contain these. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Tretinex=Acne Only: Tretinex is acutaine and used for acne. Tretinoin (Retin-A) is a cream used to treat sun dsmaged skin. Renova, in my opinion, has no use as it is tretinoin mixed with mineral oil to prevent its penetrating the skin, thus markedly reducing its effectiveness. At your age, tretinoin is what you need. See a plastic surgeon or dermatologist experienced in skin rejuvenation. ...Read more
S it fine to take glutathione 500mg,milk thistle extract 100mg, alpha lipoic acid 50mg, combined with d alpha tocopheryl acetate 400 iu?
Analysis: Why do you take all these items?. Where did you find such advice? Glutathione is a wonderful anti-oxidant, but does NOT cross into the brain, so of questionable value in bloodstream. Milk thistle extract has questionable benefit in most cases. Alpha lipoic useful in peripheral and central nerve disorders. You are far better off using mixed tocopherols, especially with gamma. Is 2wice a day use of clinique acne solution safe during pregnancy? Cleanser 2% salicylic, toner 1.5% salicylic, moisturizer 2.5% benzoyl per oxide
Category C: Benzoyl peroxide is a pregnancy category c drug, which basically means that someone was able to produce birth defects in lab animals using it, probably in preposterously high doses and something more than putting in the mother mouse's face. While i don't believe there's any danger to you, you'd do well not to use it simply o keep yourself from worrying or blaming the medicine if something happens. ...Read more
Differin, (adapalene) but...: Different people have different results, no pun intended. Today, no one needs to have acne. I start people with topical clindamycin; i required 25 years on systemic tetracycline with good results. A dermatologist can write for a retinoic acid derivative that's very powerful even for the toughest cases. Good luck. ...Read more
