55th day CMIA duo result non-reactive (0.08).When do the P24 antigens disappear. How reliable is result @ 55 days PE? Further, testing required?
100% conclusive: The test is 100% conclusive any time 4 weeks or more after exposure, and remains positive for life after that. It is the HIV antibody clears p24 antigen from the blood. If p24 is absent in an infected person, the antibody part of the test always is positive. Your 55 day result is conclusive. Do not have any more tests. ...Read more

Anti HCV ab — result non — reactive hbs ag(chemiluminescence) — result — negative Please advise on my results. Thanks very much?
No infection: These results are most consistent with never being exposed to hepatitis c, and not having chronic infection with hepatitis b. It can take several months for hcv antibody to be detected, so if you had a recent high risk exposure this should be repeated at six months. If hepatitis b surface antibody is not present, then consider hbv vaccination for future protection (there is no vaccine for hcv). ...Read more

Took HIV Antibody 1&2 Test and P24 Antigen test 10 days after PEP. Results non-reactive. A bit early. All other blood panel metrics normal. Thoughts?
Not conclusive: These results are reassuring; it is unlikely you were infected. However, the results are not conclusive. Following PEP, it is necessary to test for HIV longer than otherwise, maybe up to 4 months. (PEP is great when needed, but it prolongs the time of uncertainty about whether infection occurred.) Discuss with the clinic or doctor who prescribed the PEP and follow his or her advice. ...Read more

I took a 5th gen Ag/Ab HIV test 39 days post possible exposure. Result was non-reactive. Am I ok?
Conclusive HIV test: "Fifth generation" for an HIV test is marketing hype -- the manufacturer calls their new test 5th gen, but it's still bacially the same as all other 4th generation tests. Results of 4th gen HIV tests are usually conclusive after 4 weeks and always by 6 weeks (42 days). But 39 days is close enough; for sure you didn't catch HIV. ...Read more
If you are hepatitis b reactive, and then you are test again for HBsAG and the result is non-reactive what does it mean? You don't have hbv?
Reactive to what?: Hbv markers are used to distinguish actively infected from immunity, the latter include antibody to surface antigen (hbsab) and to the core antigen (hbcab). Some tests detect part of the virus, such as surface antigen (hbsag), the core antigen, or hbv dna. The presence of hbsag indicates that the person is potentially infectious. Hbsab replaces hbsag as the hbv infection evolves to immunity. ...Read more

Hi I had HIV 1&2 lab test and the results are non-reactive (0.347) cutt off rate is 1.0 test performed my ECLIA, I m so worried is it higher.please help me?
Likely negative: ELISA is highly accurate, almost 99%. So please be reassured. Repeat the test in four weeks or so to ensure it remains negative. If you have not been sick with a fever, rash, sore throat, enlarged glands, chills, night sweats etc. in the last two months, then the risk of being infected in last two months is even lower. ...Read more

It is also important to know your vaccination status to interpret these results. Good luck. ...Read more
Iam 25 years old male I had unprotected vaginal sex with a sex worker after 28 days I do hiv duo test the result was non-reactive. Hiv possible?
I would: Hep B is one of the hardiest viruses in nature. People have been accidently infected by needle stick cleaning out a drug house abandoned for more than 6 months. Failure to respond to prior vaccines could be related to the handling and storage of the vaccine before it was given. I would certainly want protection. ...Read more

Hw reliable is the elfa test for hiv. I hv done it after 4 years zat I had unprotected sex. My result is non-reactive for hiv. Is ELISA and elfa z same?
Likely negative: I'm not familiar with elfa. I think you mean enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (elisa) is a test that uses antibodies and color change to identify a substance.Namely, HIV antibodies in your blood. It is very accurate. After 4 years I can say with 100% confidence you do not have it. ...Read more
Hw reliable is the elfa test for hiv. I hv done it after 4 years zat I had unprotected sex during my university days. My result is non-reactive for hiv.?
Very reliable: In the usa, we use the elisa to screen, and the more expensive pcr to pick up people who may have a very recent infection and to follow the illness. A negative elisa six months after your last risky adventure is very reliable. Please play safe from now on, for your own sake and for those of whoever will be your future life partner. Should i be concerned if my partner got a result of HBsAG non-reactive for hepa test. Is she already infected?
Hepatitis B: I may be misreading your question, but I need clarification. Why is your partner testing? Do you have hepatitis b? Have you not been vaccinated for this common and dangerous virus? Most americans are vaccinated now against hepatitis b. The test results you share show that she is not positive or immune to hepatitis b. ...Read more

My result was, HbsAg non-reactive, anti-Hbs non-reactive 3.24 cut off 10 but I had may booster last aug. What does it mean? And what will I do?
There is variability in immune response to vaccinations among people and a small number do not make antibodies to Hep B vaccine. You should talk to your doctor about getting another booster dose in about 6 months.
