Removing Acne Scars With Tretinoin Cream
Since I'm on tretinoin cream which speeds up your cell turnover rate, would getting gylcolic peels for acne scars actually work faster?
Not for scars: I'm sorry your acne was neglected and you ended up with scars. Nothing you can apply will touch them. If you want them less visible, a plastic surgeon or dermatologist can do laser, filler, or microsurgery. Several Hollywood male stars have kept their scars for "tough guy" roles, and depending on your self-concept, they may be a plus. ...Read more

What skin treatments are good for acne marks and I have one slightly slightly depressed acne scar? Any creams? Peels? I'm on retin-a for a 5 weeks
Use forever: I love tretinoin and think that every non-pregnant person should be using this (until it expires, of course). A small pea sized amount to your entire face at night is recommended. You can use it elsewhere if desired but not overuse as will cause irritation. Works for acne, pigmentation, mild scars, and reversing sun damage. Use the right sunscreen daily and give it 6-9 months for best results. ...Read more
Hi Docs. I am 18 y/o and have had acne for almost 2 yrs. I've tried EVERYTHING from the drugstore, and even tretinoin cream. What should I do?

Not for scars: I'm glad to see that your acne is finally being treated appropriately and am sorry you ended up with scars because of treatment delay. When your acne self-cures, as it will eventually, if you want the scars less visible then a dermatologist or plastic surgeon can use fillers, microsurgery, or a laser. Thanks for writing. ...Read more
