Answer is same. 1) make sure there is no strand of hair around the toe....yes it happens and if there is something there it can cause gangrene, 2) if your sure there is nothing around the toe it sounds like you have neuropathy. A lesion doesn't: really turn septic a person becomes septic. Pus indicates infection. If there is an abscess present it needs to be drained, if there is a cellulitis you likely need an antibiotic. I would recommend you be evaluated by a doctor. ...Read more
