Remove Linea Nigra
My linea nigra had faded a couple months after I gave birth its starting to darken and get thicker what does that mean?
Hard to say: If u ovulate irregularly u may have high testosterone and elevated insulin. Otherwise it is difficult to determine especially if it's the only place that is getting darker. Good luck, but doesn't sound like a disease process, wt gain can be correllated with high Insulin and darkening pigment. ...Read more

Unusual: It's more common with combination hormones, especially with the higher dose pills, and of course in pregnancy. Make sure you're not pregnant and check with your Doc if you notice more darkening pigmentation. Take care. ...Read more

Linea nigra w/o being preg? I'm darker skinned, I have what looks like the start of linea nigra from belly button to pubis. Neg hpts. Periods on time.
Possible.: Some dark-complected women have a visible linea nigra whether they are pregnant or not; it may have been there all along and you only noticed it recently. While it is unlikely that you are pregnant it's not totally out of the question. If you're sure that the line wasn't there before and now it is, you should see your gyn to rule out pregnancy & hormonal issues, e.g. Adrenal insufficiency. ...Read more

Yes, but do a test.: Linea nigra, breast tenderness, abdominal bloating, weight gain and other signs and symptoms of pregnancy can be seen with contraceptives containing hormones.
