Don't Panic, there: are 3 main types of non-toxic goiter. Worldwide most common cause is iodine def, rare in US. Supplements/inc I in diet may shrink it. Nodular goiter: I would not worry about a nodular goiter if the thyroid blood levels are OK and you are not really troubled by slightly enlarged thyroid nodules.
