Remedies For Urinary Hesitancy
Urinary hesitancy: This very well may be about a benign swelling of your prostate. This can be treated with an herb known as saw palmetto. One should also empty their prostate gland well during the initial days of taking this herb to decrease the size of the prostate.
Hesitancy: Diffuculty initiating the urinary stream can be the result of many things. In the older male it us often from prostatic enlargement. In a young male it can be simply a "shy bladder" or may be due to chemicals or medications making it difficult to relax the sphincters holding back the urine. Decongestants are an example of such medicines. Talk to your doctor about your symptoms.
Can holding urine for a long time habitually cause urinary hesitancy? If so, would it heal itself?
It can.: Holding the urine for long periods of time can distend the bladder, stretching out the muscle that allows the bladder to expel urine. If this stretching is great and often enough, the muscle slowly remodels itself, weakening over time. A weak bladder can show hesitancy. As voiding habits improve some of the effects are reversible, but any permanent damage from longstanding distention is not.See 1 more doctor answer

See your primary care physician, but any worry should prompt evaluation by a urologist who specializes in neuro-urology.

Is there any correlation between pilonidal cyst and urinary hesitancy and penis pain during masturbation?
Probably not...: In my 45-yr study and practice in medicine, I have never come across with any discussion or articles describing the correlation between pilonidal cyst and urinary frequency ; penile pain during masturbation although pilonidal cyst happens to be close to genital organ. Gabapentin: Urinary retention is an infrequent side effect of Neurontin (gabapentin). Most side effects do lessen or resolve over the first three weeks of treatment. Reducing the dose and escalating the subsequent doses more slowly can reduce side effects. Discuss this side effect with your prescribing physician.See 1 more doctor answer

55 yo woman. Taking Trileptal, Pristiq, (desvenlafaxine) Nsaids. Experienieng extreme fatigue, dizziness, SOB, nausea, urinary hesitancy. Could it be low blood sodi?
Yes: The fatigue, nausea and dizziness can be low sodium. Have that checked. The urinary hesitancy can be an anticholinergic side effect of the medication. The SOB and dizziness can be from anemia which can result from occult blood loss due to GI bleeding from NSAID. A CBC and chem panel will help see if of the above is true.

All are same. . .: Testosterone replacement manufacturers will hate me for writing this but they're all the same. It's just a matter of branding, like chevy vs dodge vs ford. You pick one you can afford (that's important!) & which you like (gel vs patch vs gum vs shot etc) & which you gives you best results. Some folks like viper over corvette but they're both pretty fast to me. Side effects are all similar, too.See 1 more doctor answer
