I: I have yet to see a patient grow out of a otoplasty result. Generally the cartilage in the ears does not grow after your early 20's. What may change is the soft tissue covering the cartilaginous skeleton. There are several techniques, but when you have an otoplasty done the cartilaginous skeleton is sculptured and repositioned then the soft tissue is trimmed and re-draped.
