After treating balanitis will my penis ever look the same? And what is the worst case scenario for long term untreated balanitis?
Yes, it will heal: Balanitis symptoms often evolve over three to seven days. The condition may present as pain, tenderness, or pruritus associated with small erythematous lesions on the glans and/or the prepuce. These lesions can be ulcerated or scaly. Thick foul smelling purulent exudate is often produced. If not properly treated, this process can evolve into a tightening of the prepuce, known as phimosis. ...Read more

This has to be uncomfortable. Have you been circumcised? If not you should seriously consider it because the condition usually progresses and removing the foreskin usually takes care of the problem. First, though, you should be checked for diabetes as that can cause balanitis.
Good luck ...Read more

Suffering from balanitis, was prescribed timodine cream but failed to cure the condition, penis glans are inflamed and very dry & shiny in appearance?
Castellani solution: If your pharmacy or chemist does not have it, they can make or obtain it. Get the clear, modified version. It will clear very quickly. Your product was worth a try but is not much good. Balanitis is due to tiny amount of URINE fermenting under your foreskin. Rinse off daily, best in a shower. Always blot or wash off the last drop of urine after you go. A circumcision will end the problem. ...Read more
Chances of one having herpes without any blisters or sores but balanitis on foreskin and penis head?
I wouldn't think: The chances are high...those ulcerated lesions are very commonly present in herpes. Balanitis is swelling and inflammation of the foreskin. It's main cause is suboptimal hygiene in the uncircumcised. Symptoms will usually resolve when you rinse (unscented) soap completely off the penis. Low dose OTC topical steroid or anti fungal cream may help. Rarely are other antibiotics needed. USE CONDOMS! ...Read more
Hi there does hydrocositrone 5% cream treat soreness & pain & burning on penis & under foreskin of balanitis?
Could excessive and rough masturbation cause balanitis penis aches after masturbation and is in pain and is red and scarred and appears swollen?
Certainly can be: That certainly could be the cause (though I'm not sure what you mean by "scarred"). If the symptoms don't resolve after stopping for a few days, I would certainly recommend seeing a physician to make sure nothing else is going on. But swelling and redness can definitely occur on the penis just like they can on any other body part that is used "excessively." good luck to you! ...Read more
I've been using Clotrimazole for 2 days to treat balanitis. It's creating a warm tingle and I've noticed more visible veins showing on my penis.
I have mild chronic balanitis, antifungal cream didn't work, awaiting swab results. Will I get gangrene and penis amputation? I'm seeing urologist soon
Of course not: Balanitis, phimosis, is due to fermentation by bacteria in tiny drops of urine under the foreskin. Shower daily, retracting the skin to rinse it off. Whenever passing urine, keep the skin back for a moment and blot off the urine from the area. Castellani solution (clear) is very effective. You will need to request it from the pharmacist. A circumcision is routine, quick and easy, always cures it. ...Read more
Just under penis head/on shaft, looks like a small water blister the skin tears a bit not bleeding, neg herpes test, treated for balanitis w/no change?

Get examined: None of this suggests any STD, unless you have molluscum contagiosum. If you do, maybe from some other exposure; 3.5 weeks probably is too soon. The chance of HIV is low and your symptoms don't suggest it. But since you're worried, and have possible MC, you need to see a doctor or clinic for personal exam and STD/HIV testing. You'll never get final answers online or by self testing. Good luck. ...Read more
