Girlfriend suffering from lump in throat feeling.  Was prescribed generic PROTONIX,  but no changes after 4 days. what could the problem be?

Reflux possible: The sense of a lump is typically caused by something causing vocal cord swelling. A common cause is acid reflux coming up from the stomach which is why she was given the Protonix. That may still work; can take more than 4 days. Other causes are allergies, more rarely throat infection, even more rarely a tumor. Finally, this sensation can be caused by anxiety.
