Itching in my armpits for several months. Soreness in right armpit for a week. Two small lumps in right armpit this morning.

You're young, so cancer is unlikely, but if you smoke , chew tobacco, drink, or do things like drugs, etc., you could be at risk for some cancers and infections. Probably OK: This probably is good news. Whatever was causing your apparent lymph node enlargement probably is clearing up.
