Can eustachian tubes cause chronic disequilibrium? If so, can this affect vision? I have allergies, ears feel blocked when swallowing, vng abnormal
Highly unlikely: There has to be major pressure fluctuations such as diving for eustachian dysfunction (etd) to cause imbalance. Chronic disequilibrium is present during movement when there is vestibular weakness as identified on the vng. Vision is used to compensate but shouldn't change. Consider other cause:
Since you had an MRI of the brain 6 months ago, and it was normal, you should not think of brain tumor as the cause here. Other causes are more likely and more common. These could be medicine side effects, changes in the sensation of the feet, changes in the inner ear sensation of movement, or changes with your strength.
