Sounds like you have: Arthritis, or a meniscal tear. The fall might be responsible for the arthritis, but i think its the daily activities with subtle injuries in a susceptible person resulting in a meniscal tear. Its not a nerve issue. I'm using trixaicin for my knee and for a few hours I'm having the worst burning sensation ever I know it's a side effect but its horrible. Remedies?
Not an easy solution: Burning is a common side effect of capsaicin lotion - if you are having constant pain try go clean some of the lotion off with warm water and soap. Capsaicin exerts its effects by decreasing the amount of substance P that transmits pain signals to your brain. Unfortunately, burning may be a reason to not use this medication. ...Read more
