Why don't men want to go to doctors? My husband has anal itching, and I feel I have to drag him in to be seen. What will happen to him without treatment?
It depends: It depends on what is causing the anal itching. One thing that will happen is that he will continue to have the itching and it won't get better. If he wants to feel better he will need to see a doctor to determine the cause to treatment can be done. THe most: Common cause of anal itching especially if it wakes you from your sleep is caffeine followed by excess perspiration. Do not use witch hazel! cut out all caffeine and use corn starch powder on your bottom when getting dressed and whenever you feel dampness or itching in that area. Clean: Anal itching can be a very tough symptom to cure. However, I have found the following procedure an excellent "almost" cure. Immediately after every bowl movement, wash the area with soap and water. Dry the area well and then either rub in otc Hydrocortisone cream or vasaline petroleum jelly.
